Do you want to be at the leading edge of web development? Do you want to be an expert in media, applications and platforms?

This is a top-up programme intended for graduates of the Academy Profession Degree Programmes in Multimedia Design or Computer Science. The top-up programme earns you a bachelor's degree in Web Development with only 1½ years of additional study. The programme will give you the competences to work with the construction of modern web applications. You will learn to work with modern web technologies and coding practices throughout the development process. As part of your studies, you will also work with database and deployment technologies and with the development process from a design perspective. As a Bachelor of Web Development, you will have skills and knowledge within web in a broad sense, both desktop, mobile etc. and you will find exciting employment opportunities within a rapidly growing industry.

As a Bachelor in Web Development you know how to handle the frontend of IT systems using Customer Relations Systems (CMS). You will also know how web systems are built from scratch using object-oriented IDE and relational databases. The programme is a full-time 3 semesters’ undergraduate programme giving you 90 ECTS points. It is based on research into the demands of the business world for staff with international competences in the area of Web development.

Students with other educational background

Students with a passed a relevant degree with 120 ECTS-points can apply for admission provided they have made an Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition - PLAR (known as ‘IKV’ in Danish) resulting in a positive result.

An Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition gives you an individual assessment of your collected knowledge, skills and competencies. Career opportunities within the IT business could be:

  • Consultancies or software businesses within the web or IT businesses
  • Internal development departments in companies and businesses of any size

After a few years’ employment, you will be able to handle overall functions in connection with planning and creating architecture for complicated web systems. Furthermore, you will also be able to pursue a career as an independent consultant.
