Horticulture & Business Management
Did you know that the Netherlands is the second largest exporter of vegetables, flowers and other agricultural products? It makes sense, therefore, that other countries would like to learn from our expertise in the field of horticulture. In the English-taught Bachelor’s programme Horticulture & Business Management you will discover the key to the Dutch success and learn all about our technical innovations and production methods. All this is set in an international environment, with students from all over the world. Horticulture & Business Management is the English area of study within the programme Horticulture & Arable Farming.
During your study
The English-language Bachelor's programme Horticulture & Business Management will introduce you to the world of plants and the entire chain from producer to consumer. You will follow technical courses on innovative cultivation techniques, but also learn about management and organisation, national and international trade, marketing and sales. You can choose between three specialisations: Applied Plant Research Global Trade & Business Management Cultivation & Technology

- Pažymių išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs mokyklos, būtina prisegti pažymių išrašą. Smulkesnę informaciją kaip pildyti išrašą ir kada jis reikalingas, rasi čia.
- Brandos atestatas – jei jau esi baigęs mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka anketoje prisegti savo Brandos atestatą.
Pastaba!
- Motyvacinis laiškas yra privalomas dokumentas stojant į šio universiteto programas.
- Vienas iš stojimo etapų yra Study Choice Check arba Matching procedure (taip pat gali būti ir interviu) - dažniausiai klausimyno forma.
Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:
- turėti anglų kalbos pažymį Brandos atestate ir išlaikyti Anglų kalbos valstybinį egzaminą (egzamino rezultatas nėra svarbus, svarbiausia, kad jį išlaikytum)*
arba
- išlaikyti IELTS arba TOEFL testą.
*Jeigu nori pasitikrinti ar tavo anglų kalbos žinios yra pakankamos studijuoti Nyderlandų aukštosiose – suteikiame galimybę laikyti Oxford anglų kalbos testą. Nors anglų kalbos testas nėra reikalaujamas, patartina žinoti savo galimybes ir kalbos lygį.

PRODUCTION CONSULTANT
The specialist to the rescue! A production consultant is a technical expert who helps his customers optimise their products and production processes. You combine excellent technical knowledge with people skills and a sharp analytical mind. You know how to get to the bottom of your customer’s assignment and how to translate your findings into a recommendation. You might also work as a production manager within a company, and work on more sustainable and more efficient production. A job for the technical analyst with a green thumb!
BREEDER

A breeder is a visionary who constantly seeks and detects new possibilities to improve and diversify our food and non-food crops. By using your knowledge to develop new and improved products, you work towards better quality and higher variety on shop shelves, in our gardens and on our fields. You achieve this by starting your own business or by working for a (multinational) breeding company. A rewarding profession for the creative scientist inside you!
EXPORTMANAGER
As export manager you are the link between supply at home and demand abroad. You have technical knowledge of the industry anda knack for business. By watching market trends, you know which products will be in high demand in future. You also recognise a top-quality product. You negotiate with your local producers to buy these top notch products, and afterwards you make sure you sell them to retailers in your world-wide network of customers. An international career for an ambitious globetrotter!
