Modern life depends on electronics; from industry to the iPhone, they’re everywhere. In lectures and in our labs, you’ll learn to build, repair, and maintain a wide variety of electronic devices. This programme is CEng accredited and fulfils the educational requirements for Chartered Engineer when presented with an accredited MSc. In addition, the programme meets the educational requirements for registration as an Incorporated Engineer. This course has been validated to include an optional Sandwich Placement year in industry.

Your course will have a new home in Compass House, which will extend our campus along East Road. You’ll have the latest technology at your fingertips and be able to collaborate with other students on innovative projects to hone your skills.

Our course will give you detailed knowledge of a branch of technology which is absolutely vital to our modern lifestyle. It will prepare you for a career at the cutting edge of technology development.

You’ll focus on the central topics in electronics while learning to build, repair, and maintain devices. You’ll also have the opportunity to develop certain skills in more detail to specialise on an area of interest.

Take advantage of our state-of-the-art electronics and microelectronics laboratories, with support and guidance from our in-house team of technical experts. We use industry-standard software including the Xilinx ISE digital systems design software and National Instruments’ Multisim circuit-simulation package. You’ll also use a wide range of central computing and media facilities.

By the time you graduate, you’ll be a creative problem-solver and be able to design systems and components. You’ll also be able to consider the social, environmental and economic implications of different aspects of electronics.

All our students have the option of doing a year-long placement in industry between Year 2 and Year 3.

Reikalaujamas išsilavinimas

Stojant į šį universitetą dėmesys yra kreipiamas į pažymius ir Brandos atestato vidurkį, kuris turi būti ne žemesnis kaip 7.

  • Pažymių išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs mokyklos, būtina prisegti pažymių išrašą. Smulkesnę informaciją kaip pildyti išrašą ir kada jis reikalingas, rasi čia. *

  • Brandos atestatas – jei jau esi baigęs mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka prie Kastu stojimo anketos prisegti savo Brandos atestatą.

! Jeigu nori studijuoti šiame universitete, tačiau neatitinki studijų programos stojimo reikalavimų arba bijai, kad jų neatitiksi, SPAUSK ČIA ir sužinok, kaip gali įstoti į šį universitetą paprastesnėmis sąlygomis!

 

Anglų kalbos reikalavimai

Svarbu, jog anglų kalbos testo rezultatai universitetą pasiektų iki Liepos 31d.

Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:

  • Valstybinis anglų kalbos egzaminas išlaikyti 75 % ir daugiau.

  • IELTS - 6.0

  • TOEFL - 80

You’ll be able to choose from jobs in medical electronics, environmental monitoring, microelectronics, sound technology, biophysics, power, transport, media, engineering, industrial process control, construction and building services, and teaching.

Our links with industry mean that you could do shared projects with real employers, placements and work experience during your study. You’ll also go on company visits and some lectures are delivered by working engineers.

Throughout the course, we'll help you to think about what you'll do when you graduate. We'll help you with your CV and a personal development plan. You might even get a job offer from one of the companies that we invite to see students' work.

Graduation doesn’t need to be the end of your time with us. If you’d like to continue your studies we offer a wide range of full-time and part-time postgraduate courses including MSc Electronic and Electrical Engineering.
