Hotel Management
Can you turn a hotel stay into an unforgettable experience? Do you combine excellent service, sustainability and profit maximisation? If you want to make a difference, this programme is for you!
In hospitality, creating an experience for the guest is all important. How do you respond to the individualisation of society and how do you deal with an increasingly critical customer? You will learn in our Hotel Management programme. After your graduation you will be ready to go the extra mile with your professionalism, creativity and innovative ideas.
In four years, you will learn how to develop to an all-round Hotel Manager. Where will you find your dream job? Think big, think anywhere, because our students work all over the world. But first things first. You do need to develop, in order to get there. We will help you learn the things you need to know, improve your skills and offer you training on-the-job. With our programme, we will provide you with all you need to get your future job!
Three Year Track
You will benefit from the intensive 3-year programme in two respects: you gain one year in time, and save one year of tuition fees.
after vwo (pre-university) or after another propaedeutic year (economic programme): You will start in year 2 and also receive basic knowledge and skills from the propaedeutic phase.
taylor-made track for 'havo' graduates: You will start your course of study at De Rooi Pannen (mbo level) and you will proceed at Breda University of Applied Sciences in year 2 of the regular 4-year programme.
- Pažymių išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs mokyklos, būtina prisegti pažymių išrašą. Smulkesnę informaciją kaip pildyti išrašą ir kada jis reikalingas, rasi čia.
- Brandos atestatas – jei jau esi baigęs mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka anketoje prisegti savo Brandos atestatą.

Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:
- turėti anglų kalbos pažymį Brandos atestate ir išlaikyti Anglų kalbos valstybinį egzaminą (egzamino rezultatas nėra svarbus, svarbiausia, kad jį išlaikytum)*
arba
- išlaikyti IELTS arba TOEFL testą.
*Jeigu nori pasitikrinti ar tavo anglų kalbos žinios yra pakankamos studijuoti Nyderlandų aukštosiose – suteikiame galimybę laikyti Oxford anglų kalbos testą. Nors anglų kalbos testas nėra reikalaujamas, patartina žinoti savo galimybes ir kalbos lygį.

One of the aims of the Academy of Hotel Management Breda is to recruit enthusiastic, motivated and qualified students from abroad for its inspiring hospitality management programme!
You will also be requested to upload a personal video message, to convince us that you are the right candidate for the programme. In this video, you should introduce yourself and share your motivation for studying at BUas. The video should be English spoken, representative and no longer than 4 minutes. You are free to choose your own structure and content,
Topics that could be discussed:
1. Your motivation:
- Why did you choose to study in the Netherlands, what are your reasons for choosing our university and why hotel management?
- What can you tell us about the content of the education at the Academy for Hotel & Facility?
2. Prior developed knowledge and skills:
- What (work)experience in hospitality have you gained? Have you been working or studying abroad?
- Tell us about your previous education (about the level and the course), language, skills, experience in group work and presentations.
3. Strong points / development points:
- What do you want to develop further and what do you need to improve?
4. Miscellaneous
- Are you financially able to study in the Netherlands? Do you need a study Visa?
- Have you thought about alternatives (plan B) in case you will not get accepted and what are these alternatives?
Get a job
After completing your graduation assignment, you will be equipped to enter a variety of hospitality-related careers, at home or abroad. Alternatively, you might take up positions at other types of business; conference venues, holiday resorts, wholesalers to the hotel and catering trade, or consultancy agencies.
Career examples
As a manager in hospitality, you oversee the operations of an organisation that runs 24 hours a day, 7 days a week and 365 days a year. Our graduates work across the entire spectrum of the hospitality industry, on positions as Banqueting Manager at a conference centre and Sales and Marketing Manager at the head office of an (international) hotel chain.
After graduating you often start your career in an assistant position and over time, you work your way up to (senior) management positions in the hospitality branch.
Obtain a Master's Degree
To broaden your horizon and get to know more about possibilities and crossovers you can make with Hotel Management, you can choose a one-year master’s programme at Breda University of Applied Sciences after your bachelor’s programme in Hotel Management:
- Master in Imagineering (Breda University of Applied Sciences)
- Master in Tourism Destination Management (Breda University of Applied Sciences)
If you want to obtain a more in-depth view, you can choose a master’s programme in the field of hospitality management, for example:
