Develop your natural sense of hostmanship and be a Game Changer in the exciting and dynamic hospitality industry. Come and seize the opportunities our diverse world of hotel management has to offer.

When empathy and a service-minded attitude come naturally to you, and you enjoy meeting people from all over the world, then the Hospitality Management programme at Hotel Management School NHL Stenden is perfect for you. In turn, we offer an open and welcoming environment: hostmanship at its best.

  • Work on challenges set by the hospitality industry
  • Gain practical work experience in our Living Labs on campus
  • Specialise in your field and take a minor subject at a partner location abroad
  • Do a ten-month paid internship in your final year to invest in your personal development and increase your employability
  • Take part in international hospitality competitions and expand your network
  • Obtain additional hospitality certification while you study

The degree in Hospitality Management challenges you to develop your talents and learn to be agile in a fast-paced and rapidly changing world. Through our educational concept, Design-Based Education (DBE), you work in small teams of students, teachers, researchers, and industry professionals. You tackle current, real-life issues while working closely with your fellow students, organisations and businesses, developing and adapting your visions and ideas to form a solid solution. And you gain practical experience at our own 4-star Notiz Hotel, developing during your studies from operational to management level. And you gain yet more practical experience during your internship in your final year.

Kastu feedback about the program after the visit

  • NHL has super great NOTIZ Hotel (4*) ran by students.
  • NHL has super great restaurant with the highest quality food - Restaurant Wannee (led by former Michelin Star Chef Albert Kooy).
  • All around campus NHL have places where students work (Canteen (with great food and huge selection of meals), Student Café, Coffee bar, Conference and events).
  • Mostly it's one week of lectures and one week of practical work in one of the universities places (cafes, restaurant, hotel and other), the students get the ability to work in several different places during their studies.
