Combine practical financial management with economic analysis of the markets you invest in. You will address for example urgent problems in the Euro zone, international financial supervision, micro-finance, bank-runs and systemic risk, and taxation of financial institutions. This is a track of MSc Economics.
Program and courses
Become skilled in both Finance and Economics, and learn for example how international bodies function (e.g., the European Central Bank), why tax policies are designed the way they are, and what the consequences are for firms in Europe.

Į magistro studijų programas gali stoti visi, baigę universitetą arba besimokantys paskutiniame kurse. Studijos kurias baigei ar tebesimokai turi būti panašios krypties kaip ir tos, į kurias nori stoti, kadangi priėmimas yra paremtas ECTS kreditų suderinamumu.
- ECTS kreditų išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs aukštosios mokyklos, būtina prisegti ECTS kreditų išrašą, kuriame būtų matyti, kokius dalykus Tu mokeisi bei kokius pažymius ir kiek kreditų už juos gavai. Kai siunti anketą paskutiniame kurse, diplomą reikia prisegti vėliau, kai tik jį gausi.
- Bakalauro diplomas – jei jau esi baigęs aukštąją mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka prie anketos prisegti savo Bakalauro diplomą.
SVARBU: anglų kalbos testo sertifikatą privaloma pateikti kartu su visais dokumentais, atsiunčiant anketą. Universitetas nesvarsto stojimo anketų be anglų kalbos testo rezultatų, todėl sertifikatą privaloma pateikti iki stojimo pabaigos. Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:
- IELTS – 6.5, ne mažiau nei 6.0 iš kiekvienos dalies
- TOEFL – 90
A Bachelor’s degree in Economics or in a similar program (e.g., in Econometrics) from a university that is recognized by the program management
A solid academic background in economics, especially:
- Macroeconomics (minimum 12 ECTS)
- Microeconomics (minimum 12 ECTS)
- Game Theory (minimum 6 ECTS)
- Mathematics (minimum 12 ECTS)
- Econometrics / Statistics (minimum 12 ECTS)And at least 2 applied Economics courses (in total minimum 12 ECTS), for instance (but not exclusively!):
- Environmental Economics (minimum 6 ECTS)
- Public Economics (minimum 6 ECTS)
- Development Economics (minimum 6 ECTS)
- Industrial Organization (minimum 6 ECTS)
Our Admissions Board may give you the opportunity to rectify deficiencies (max. 30 ECTS) during a Pre-Master's program.
It is compulsory for this program to submit your GRE General Test
Our incoming students usually score above the 75% percentile.

Exemptions from the GRE requirement
Students with a relevant degree from one of the official partner universities of the Tilburg School of Economics and Management are exempted from the GRE requirement.
Career prospects
With a specialization in money, banking and financial markets, you will be skilled in both finance and economics. These combined skills are tailored for a career in banking, other private businesses that are regularly confronted with international policy making, or at (inter)national operating governments.
