International Business, previously International Business and Languages, prepares you for a career in a global environment. You will become an expert at doing business in cross-cultural settings.
A Dutch company produces cereals for people with food allergies and exports its products to different countries in Europe. Unfortunately, its market share in Eastern Europe is not growing as planned. As international market intelligence officer, you analyse the current market, the cereal industry and the economic environment to identify factors that potentially limit your company's growth.

The programme International Business
International Business helps you become a successful professional. You will become a global citizen with a solid knowledge base, proficiency in modern languages and a highly developed intercultural sensitivity and global mindset. Your cultural awareness helps you to make an impact with respect. You will graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration degree. This programme is NVAO-accredited.
Features of this study programme
You will have the unique opportunity to create your own learning path throughout the study programme. As your personal and professional development is at the core of our teaching, the programme uses a variety of learning methods. Lecturers act as coaches: sparring partners who help you to solve problems, find answers, be creative and think outside the box. This programme has a strong focus on international marketing & sales and acquiring multilingual communication and cross-cultural skills.
What sets us apart from other IB studies:
The programme is fully project-based. There are no regular classes.
We offer an international orientated Marketing and Sales study programme in which students can create their own learning path by making personal choices out of 4 specialisation profiles and out of 4 languages.
We work with coaches instead of traditional lecturers. Coaches guide and support the students to find the right answers/solutions themselves.
There are no exams. Students will be assessed based on integrated assessments of the projects as well as their personal learning portfolios.
- Pažymių išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs mokyklos, būtina prisegti pažymių išrašą. Smulkesnę informaciją kaip pildyti išrašą ir kada jis reikalingas, rasi čia.
- Brandos atestatas – jei jau esi baigęs mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka anketoje prisegti savo Brandos atestatą.

- Motyvacinis laiškas yra Būtinas dokumentas stojant į šio universiteto programas.
- Stojamoji užduotis - visi stojantys į bakalauro programas privalo atlikti online stojamąsias užduotis. Užduočių tikslas - išsiaiškinti ar pasirinkta programa atitinka tavo poreikius ir lūkesčius.
- Interviu - visi stojantys į bakalauro programas privalo sudalyvauti stojimo procedūroje, kurios metu bus vykdomas interviu su pasirinktos programos dėstytoju. Šio interviu tikslas - išsiaiškinti ar pasirinkta programa atitinka tavo poreikius ir lūkesčius.
Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:
- turėti anglų kalbos pažymį Brandos atestate ir išlaikyti Anglų kalbos valstybinį egzaminą (egzamino rezultatas nėra svarbus, svarbiausia, kad jį išlaikytum)*
arba
- išlaikyti IELTS arba TOEFL testą.
*Jeigu nori pasitikrinti ar tavo anglų kalbos žinios yra pakankamos studijuoti Nyderlandų aukštosiose – suteikiame galimybę laikyti Oxford anglų kalbos testą. Nors anglų kalbos testas nėra reikalaujamas, patartina žinoti savo galimybes ir kalbos lygį.
Math or Economics are required subjects and you should have one of those subjects in your High School diploma.
- Stojimas į Avans vyksta keliais etapais:
- Pateikti stojimo anketą;
- Atlikti stojamąsias užduotis ir pateikti motyvacinį laišką;
- Sudalyvauti interviu su pasirinktos programos dėstytoju.

The world of international business offers many opportunities, in the Netherlands or abroad. In multinational corporations with subsidiaries in the Netherlands. Or within family-owned, mid-sized companies with a strong ambition to develop their international sales. Governmental institutions in trade promotion or development, regional development agencies or large cities also offer opportunities for young International Business professionals.
Depending on your talents and choices in areas of specialisation during your study, you may start your career in positions in the field of Sales and Marketing, Organisation and People, International Finance or Operations and Supply Chain Management. You can join a company or start a business of your own.
When recruiting, international companies often prefer candidates with experience abroad. Your solid foundation in International Business, combined with your experience abroad acquired throughout your study, will make you a choice candidate.

After you graduate, you can choose to complete a Master's degree at a Dutch research university or a university abroad. Such as International Management, Master of Science in Management, Marketing Management, Financial Management, Logistics or Supply Chain Management. Or you can take a post-graduate MBA programme.
For Den Bosch, you could also consider the Master's in International Business at Tilburg University. This enables you to complete the pre-Master's programme as a minor.
