Research Master in Business
CentER's Research Master's program in Business offers two years of graduate level coursework and research training. The program prepares students for a PhD dissertation research. Students gain deep knowledge in a chosen Track: accounting, finance, information management, marketing, operations research, organization & strategy or tax-economics.
The program enables students to accumulate theoretical and technical knowledge of research methodology courses and develops the skills required for cutting-edge research in their field. It ensures that students get acquainted with analytical and empirical tools that are frequently used in business research.
The courses of the Research Master's program in Business are taught by internationally renowned researchers belonging to CentER’s faculty, supplemented by some excellent scholars invited from abroad.
This program offers six different Tracks:
Finance (corporate finance, asset pricing, banking)
Accounting (managerial, financial accounting)
Marketing (marketing research, consumer psychology)
Operations research (operations management, optimization techniques)
Organization and strategy (strategy, organization theory, entrepreneurship, international business)
Tax Economics (taxation, principles of accounting, behavioral theories)

Į magistro studijų programas gali stoti visi, baigę universitetą arba besimokantys paskutiniame kurse. Studijos kurias baigei ar tebesimokai turi būti panašios krypties kaip ir tos, į kurias nori stoti, kadangi priėmimas yra paremtas ECTS kreditų suderinamumu.
- ECTS kreditų išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs aukštosios mokyklos, būtina prisegti ECTS kreditų išrašą, kuriame būtų matyti, kokius dalykus Tu mokeisi bei kokius pažymius ir kiek kreditų už juos gavai. Kai siunti anketą paskutiniame kurse, diplomą reikia prisegti vėliau, kai tik jį gausi.
- Bakalauro diplomas – jei jau esi baigęs aukštąją mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka prie anketos prisegti savo Bakalauro diplomą.
Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:
- IELTS – 7.0 (ne mažiau nei 6.5 iš kiekvienos dalies)
- TOEFL – 100
A. Educational background/diplomas
When applying for admission to the Research Master's program in Business or Economics, you need to have completed / will complete before the end of the academic year:
An academic Bachelor's or Master’s degree program in economics, econometrics or business studies or another relevant field that is deemed a quantitative equivalent to the previous education profile.
You have completed your previous degree with an excellent GPA (top 10% of your class).
B. GRE General Test ór GMAT test score
It is compulsory to submit your GRE General Test ór GMAT test score.
A GRE General Test score report with a minimum score of 90% in the quantitative section.
GMAT test score report with a minimum score of 90% in the total score.
The test must not be older than five years.
If you follow the Research Master's program in Business - be it accounting, finance, marketing, operations research, organization and strategy, or tax economics - you are prepared to continue in a PhD program.
More than 75% of the graduates continue at a PhD position at either Tilburg University or another university.
25% of the graduates start a professional career, mostly in the consultancy or financial sector.
The Research Master's program in Business in combination with the subsequent PhD studies enable our students to find jobs at universities around the world, at research institutes or in the banking and consultancy sectors.
In the PhD phase, most accepted PhD students become university employees earning a gross salary over more than Euro 85000 over three years and are granted pension rights.
