The innovative Master of Music Instrumental Learning & Teaching (ILT) was set up for musicians who are looking for new insights in the field of music education.
In the 21st century you as a musician are expected to be an independent professional who is able to develop artistic and educational products and to carry these out for various target groups in diverse contexts. Following this study route you develop into an instrumental teacher with broad knowledge of the most recent innovations in the professional field. You learn how to flexibly cope with questions that students and principals have and at the same time work on innovating the professional field. The focus is on broadening you teaching skills and the connection between being a teacher and a performing musician. Students in this master are all educated as an instrumentalist. This is why you work towards developing your instrumental competences even more. You receive instrumental or vocal lessons from our own teachers and renowned guest teachers from all over the world. In these lessons attention is given to the connection between your identity as a performer as well as a teacher. You also work on your improvisation skills which you can use on stage but also in interdisciplinary collaborations and in the field of education.
From your personal study plan you work towards the final lecture-recital. We give you the space to realise your ambitions, ideas and goals. You are free to present your lecture recital in any way depending on your own interests, competences and qualities. Apart from the instrumental and vocal main subjects and modules aimed at instrumental learning and teaching you are being coached in the field of Practice-based Research and Project management & Entrepreneurship. The focus is on working wit and researching different target groups and learning environments. There are specially designed modules Advanced Group Dynamics, Music & Elderly and Talent development. In addition to the mandatory modules there is a variety of optional modules which you can choose within the Open Credits. It is also possible to bring in your own projects or choose modules from other study routes. You use the knowledge that you gain in the lessons, modules, during internships and projects to develop new education material. Such as designing workshops, projects, learning curves or methods, possibly in collaboration with regional, national and international partners.
Į magistro studijų programas gali stoti visi, baigę universitetą arba besimokantys paskutiniame kurse. Studijos kurias baigei ar tebesimokai turi būti panašios krypties kaip ir tos, į kurias nori stoti, kadangi priėmimas yra paremtas ECTS kreditų suderinamumu.
- ECTS kreditų išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs aukštosios mokyklos, būtina prisegti ECTS kreditų išrašą, kuriame būtų matyti, kokius dalykus Tu mokeisi bei kokius pažymius ir kiek kreditų už juos gavai. Kai siunti anketą paskutiniame kurse, diplomą reikia prisegti vėliau, kai tik jį gausi.
- Bakalauro diplomas – jei jau esi baigęs aukštąją mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka prie anketos prisegti savo Bakalauro diplomą.

1. First round of selection based on a YouTube recording, study plan, motivation letter and curriculum vitae submitted by the candidate.
2. Second round, live audition and interview about the study plan (45 minutes).
After each selection round you will be informed about the outcome.
If your study plan is found to be not sufficient the first time you will be given the opportunity to improve your plan once. You need to do this within 4 days after you have been contacted by the committee.

After graduating you are an innovative musical master who is able to make music at a high level and develop new education forms together with regional, national and international partners. Such as designing workshops, projects, learning curves or methods.
