Journalism and Culture BA
The new Journalism and Culture BA offers a balanced combination of journalism practice and theory. You will learn journalistic skills such as research, pitching story ideas, interviewing, reporting and writing across multi-media platforms. You will develop critical understanding of the communication environment where journalism and media and cultural industries operate. You will gain research and analytical ability to explore intellectual inquiries and present findings.
Here at Brunel we aim to give you all the tools you need to pursue your chosen journalistic career. You will be taught by world-class academics, many of whom are active professional journalists. You’ll also learn in our 24 hour, state of the art, multi-platform digital newsroom and broadcast facilities, using the latest edition industry- standard hardware and software. Once you graduate, you’ll have a unique set of skills and expertise that will give you a competitive edge when applying for jobs with cultural, political and social decision-making organizations in the UK and across the world. The course will also enable you to develop a critical and in-depth understanding of the media industry that will help you succeed in the fast-changing digital world.
Stojant į šį universitetą dėmesys yra kreipiamas į pažymius ir Brandos atestato vidurkį, kuris turi būti ne žemesnis kaip 8 + kai kurioms programoms reikalingas matematikos pažymys, kuris gali skirtis prikalusomai nuo programos į kurią stojama. Taigi, labai svarbu yra ne tik atitikti stojimo reikalavimus, bet ir turėti kuo geresnius pažymius!

Brandos atestatas – jei jau esi baigęs mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka prie Kastu stojimo anketos prisegti savo Brandos atestatą.

Spausk šiek tiek aukščiau esantį mygtuką Oficiali svetainė, tuomet dešinėje pusėje esančoje meniu juostoje pasirink skiltį Entry requirements ir po Entry Criteria 2017/18 sąrašu esančiame International and EU Entry Requirements pasirink Lithuania. Tuomet pamatysi stojimo reikalavimus.
Pavyzdys.: Jeigu stojimo reikalavimuose parašyta: Average of Grade 9 and 90% in State Examinations in subjects if they are specified in GCE A-level entry requirements. You can find the GCE A-level entry subjects above. If no subjects are specified at GCE A-level then required State exams can be in any subjects.
O prie Entry Criteria 2017/18 parašyta: GCE A-level AAB, including Maths and Physics (General Studies not accepted), tuomet reiškia, kad turi turėti bendrą brandos atestato vidurkį 9 + 90 % iš matematikos ir fizikos egzaminų.
! Jeigu nori studijuoti šiame universitete, tačiau neatitinki studijų programos stojimo reikalavimų arba bijai, kad jų neatitiksi, SPAUSK ČIA ir sužinok, kaip gali įstoti į šį universitetą paprastesnėmis sąlygomis!

You will find our journalist graduates working in top newsrooms across the globe with companies such as the BBC, The Guardian, The Independent and many more.
Aside from careers in journalism, employment in other sectors such as communications, public relations, policy, production, business and the non-governmental and charity sectors is also possible due to the transferable nature of the skills and knowledge provided.
We are highly mindful of the shortage of production journalists and will therefore be tailoring part of the programme in that direction to further enhance students’ employability.
Many of our graduates will be seeking first jobs in journalism, primarily in the local and regional sector in print/online and/or broadcasting. The programme will also cater for candidates seeking to enter the burgeoning periodical sector.
