Financial Mathematics
The analysis of modern financial market data relies heavily on mathematical and statistical techniques. Mathematical techniques and tools devised using financial mathematics have contributed greatly to the development of the financial services industry and continue to play a key role in this sector. This programme starts with a firm foundation to the mathematics and statistics that is in daily use in the financial industry. It then leads to advanced studies in financial mathematics, including asset price modelling, the risk-neutral pricing of financial derivatives, time series analysis, actuarial mathematicss, and financial time series. This prepares graduates with relevant mathematical and statistical backgrounds to enter careers in the financial services industry, actuarial and insurance sectors or further study in financial mathematics.
The final year includes an advanced project on a topic in financial mathematics. In response to increased student interest, we also offer courses such as Mathematics and Society and Mathematics Education and Communication. The latter offers teaching experience through the Undergraduate Ambassadors Scheme (UAS).
The aims of the programme are:
- To provide students with a good understanding of financial mathematics and the methods and techniques used in the area
- To provide experience of mathematical modelling in various contexts, focusing on financial modelling and actuarial analysis
- To enable students to develop an understanding of modern financial modelling and examines the basic techniques used in the analysis of financial data.
Stojant į šį universitetą dėmesys yra kreipiamas į pažymius ir Brandos atestato vidurkį, kuris turi būti ne žemesnis kaip 8.
Pažymių išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs mokyklos, būtina prisegti pažymių išrašą. Smulkesnę informaciją kaip pildyti išrašą ir kada jis reikalingas, rasi čia.*
Brandos atestatas – jei jau esi baigęs mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka prie Kastu stojimo anketos prisegti savo Brandos atestatą.
! Jeigu nori studijuoti šiame universitete, tačiau neatitinki studijų programos stojimo reikalavimų arba bijai, kad jų neatitiksi, SPAUSK ČIA ir sužinok, kaip gali įstoti į šį universitetą paprastesnėmis sąlygomis!
Svarbu, jog anglų kalbos testo rezultatai universitetą pasiektų iki Liepos 31d.
