Are you dreaming of an international career in the hospitality industry?

This is a top-up programme intended for graduates of Academy Profession Degree Programmes in Marketing Management or Service, Hospitality and Tourism Management. The top-up programme earns you a bachelor's degree in International Hospitality Mangement with only 1½ years of additional study.

The programme will provide you with the competences to work in day-to-day operations, development, administration and management in an international work environment in the hospitality industry. A specialisation period will allow you to focus more deeply on either tourism, the hotel and restaurant industry or experience economy. You will learn about management, strategy, economics, cultural awareness and customer relations. You will be provided with the tools to develop new markets and concepts, achieve an understanding of a company’s strategic challenges as well as the ability to handle the practical implementation and operation of a company strategy. Danish and international students study together from the second semester, giving you valuable intercultural competences as well as an international network.

As a Bachelor of International Hospitality Management, you may find employment as resort manager, marketing coordinator, destination manager, or sales manager etc.

Reikalaujamas išsilavinimas

Į Top-up (tęstinės studijas) gali stoti baigę kolegiją ar universitetą arba besimokantys paskutiniuose kursuose ir norintys perstoti. Stojant į Top-up reikia turėti 120-180 ECTS kreditų, todėl stodamas įsitikink, kad jų turi pakankamai. Studijos kurias baigei ar tebesimokai turi būti panašios krypties kaip ir tos, į kurias nori stoti, kadangi priėmimas yra paremtas ECTS kreditų suderinamumu. Baigęs tęstinių studijų programą gausi bakalauro diplomą.

  • ECTS kreditų išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs aukštosios mokyklos, būtina prisegti ECTS kreditų išrašą, kuriame būtų matyti, kokius dalykus Tu mokeisi bei kokius pažymius ir kiek kreditų už juos gavai.

  • Aukštosios mokyklos baigimo diplomas - Jei jau esi baigęs aukštąją, išrašo nereikia, užtenka prisegti savo Aukštosios mokyklos baigimo diplomą.

DĖMESIO! stojantieji į University College Northern Denmark PRIVALO išsilaikyti testą iki Kovo 10 d. Neišsilaikę Kastu anglų kalbos testo iki Kovo 10 d. įstoti į šią aukštąją nebegalite. Informuojame, kad Kastu anglų kalbos testo laikymas bus organizuojamas Vasario viduryje ir Kovo pradžioje.

Students with other educational background

Students with a passed a relevant degree with 120 ECTS-points can apply for admission provided they have made an Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition - PLAR (known as ‘IKV’ in Danish) resulting in a positive result.

An Prior Learning Assessment and Recognition gives you an individual assessment of your collected knowledge, skills and competencies. The service sector is a wide-ranging industry with various subcategories

This means that your future employer, job title and work duties may also vary greatly depending on your efforts and on how you specialise in terms of your work placement, your assignments, your network etc. during your time of study at the International Hospitality Management programme.
 

Possible job titles

There are numerous possible job titles, which of course depend on your individual profile. Your individual profile is a combination of:

  • Your subject knowledge, that is, the degree to which you master the knowledge acquired through studies.
  • Your work experience, including your work placement.
  • Your personal competencies.
  • Other experience and competencies.

During your time of study, you will acquire knowledge of management, economics and strategy, among many other things, which will give you the skills to handle high-level duties in the hospitality industry. Some will be able to take up a position as manager or mid-level manager immediately after graduation, while others may need to gain more experience in order to hold a position as manager or middle manager – this will depend on your individual profile.
