The overarching aim of the Journalism course is to equip students with academic and practical journalism skills. This means getting to grips with the underlying principles of journalism practice before delving into theory. You will be given the chance to develop your own unique interests and talents while producing and studying journalistic products. You can capitalise on core journalistic teaching in tandem with your combined subject.

Studying the human past helps you gain a better understanding of why the world is as it is and a greater appreciation of your place in it. Studying History helps you to acquire the skills that employers value, such as critical thinking, teamwork, communication skills, information handling and original thinking.
