The Building Technology programme is an AP-degree with a duration of two years full-time study. The programme can be extended by 1.5 years in order to gain the Bachelor level entitled "Bachelor of Architectural Technology and Construction Management", in order to graduate as a Constructing Architect.

Architectural Technology and Construction Management are qualified for designing, planning, managing and implementing processes and tasks in the building and construction sector. You will be one of the main actors when the enterprise carries out a building or construction project, and you will be familiar with the whole process from idea to the final stage of the project.

The programme is theory-based and job-oriented, i.e. it aims at qualifying students for solving practical problems on an analytical basis. Theory is constantly targeted towards practical application in the industry. For the same reason, students work primarily in teams, and all the semesters are based heavily on project work.

A completed programme gives access to and credits for studies at Higher Education level in Denmark as well as internationally. Bachelor's programme - 3½ years - 210 ECTS points

The programme is a two-year full-time semester-based education with focus on project-oriented and multi-disciplinary studies. The duration of each semester is 20 weeks. The programme corresponds to 120 ECTS points.

Each semester has a main theme corresponding to the study level. The topics are:

The site and the building (first semester)

  • The aim is to give students a basic knowledge of construction, learning skills and knowledge of the building process and profession.

The site and the building continued (second semester)

  • The aim is to give students knowledge of construction design, primarily within the design stages "Scheme Design" and "Detailed Design I" including local building authority requirements.

Prefabrication of building components (third semester)

  • aim is to give the students skills in designing prefabricated components including prefabricated concrete, steel panel components and timber-panel components.

Optional subject and final project (fourth semester)

The last semester comprises two assignments:

  • Optional subject 10 ECTS
  • Final project 15 ECTS

On completion of the course students must pass the examination in both optional subject and final project.

Lessons/lectures are not provided in the final semester. However, each student will be offered tutorials for discussions, guidance and supervision for approximately two hours per week.

Optional subject 10 ECTS

The student must prove his/her capability of studying a specialised subject by identifying, describing and analysing the problem, finding relevant background information and presenting the material in an explanatory and conclusive manner.

Final project 15 ECTS

The student must prove his capability of handling the complete design process, with focus on scheme design and detail design and of presenting the process in an explanatory way showing his qualifications as regards the choice of construction principles, materials and building methods with due respect for the architectural concept. Furthermore, he must prove his capability in terms of planning, costing, calculation, and managing the building process. The subjects are chosen individually by each student, but are subject to the approval of the department in terms of the level of difficulty and complexity. The programme starts in the beginning of September. Overview on subjects, modules and ECTS-credits.

As a qualified Constructing Architect or Building Technician you have good opportunities to get an exciting job, where no day is like the day before. Studies show that, in Denmark, our gradutes disseminate into the following fields of work: approx. 25-30% in architectural drawing rooms; 25- 30% with entrepreneurs; 15-20% with engineers and 20-35% in other industries (e.g. authorities, accommodation, insurance, or estate agents).

  • Matematika. Bendras išklausytas matematikos valandų skaičius turi viršyti 125 valandas.
  • Kastu kalbos testas
