The travel and tourism sector is the largest sector in the world’s economy. Managerial roles in tourism are challenging and rewarding. Tourism managers need to make sure that their businesses are sustainable, profitable and provide a high quality experience for their customers and staff.

The BA (Hons) Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure Management degree has a common first year and then a choice of three specialist routes that map onto particular career paths for graduates. The first route specialises in travel and tourism management (for those interested in tour operations, travel agents, destination management and marketing). The second specialises in leisure and events (for those interested in managing mega events, promotions, logistics, regeneration and events policy, and business conferences). The third route specialises in food and hospitality management (for those interested in hotel management, food management in restaurants, bars and catering, design, marketing and product development). You would end up with one of the following named degrees:
  • BA (Hons) Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure Management: Specialised in Travel and Tourism Management
  • BA (Hons) International Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure Management: Specialised in Travel and Tourism Management
  • BA (Hons) Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure Management: Specialised in Leisure and Events Management
  • BA (Hons) International Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure Management: Specialised in Leisure and Events Management
  • BA (Hons) Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure Management: Specialised in Food and Hospitality Management
  • BA (Hons) International Tourism, Hospitality and Leisure Management: Specialised in Food and Hospitality Management
Reikalaujamas išsilavinimas

Stojant į šį universitetą dėmesys yra kreipiamas į pažymius ir Brandos atestato vidurkį, kuris turi būti ne žemesnis kaip 8.

  • Pažymių išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs mokyklos, būtina prisegti pažymių išrašą. Smulkesnę informaciją kaip pildyti išrašą ir kada jis reikalingas, rasi čia. *

  • Brandos atestatas – jei jau esi baigęs mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka prie Kastu stojimo anketos prisegti savo Brandos atestatą.

Anglų kalbos reikalavimai

Svarbu, jog anglų kalbos testo rezultatai universitetą pasiektų iki Liepos 31d.

Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:

  • Anglų kalbos vidurkis 8 B2 lygiu arba valstybinis anglų kalbos egzaminas išlaikyti 75 % ir daugiau.

  • IELTS - 6.0

  • TOEFL – 80

This course will equip you with the skills to work for integrated resorts, country clubs, international hotel chains, airlines, tour operators, and restaurants, and across specialisms such as destination management, marketing, logistics, business conferences and product development.

You can choose one of a number of specialist routes which allow you to map out a particular career path in: travel and tourism management; leisure and events; and food and hospitality.
The course will enable you to develop a wide range of employability skills through two accredited summer work placements, which will give you valuable industry experience in the area of your choice.
 
The travel and tourism sector is the largest sector in the world’s economy and is short of good quality managers. Recent graduates from this course have gone onto roles such as Trainee Business Travel Consultant, Hotel Receptionist, Meetings Venue Manager and Events Coordinator. Many also start their own businesses in the sector including web-based tour operations, restaurants and events management companies.
