Biology (Molecular and Cellular)
Molecular and cellular biology embraces biochemistry, genetics and cell biology and seeks molecular explanations for life processes. It involves culturing bacteria, plant and animal cells and uses the techniques of cloning, sequencing and modifying genes. This course encourages you to explore advances in this rapidly expanding area of biology, the techniques and concepts behind them and their impact on society.
You’ll develop your technical and scientific competence along with your deductive, analytical and communication skills. The course has a modular structure that allows you to develop your own interests. We encourage you to undertake the optional year-long work placement as you’ll gain invaluable experience. Many of our graduates are offered permanent posts by their placement hosts.

Svarbu, jog anglų kalbos testo rezultatai universitetą pasiektų iki Liepos 31d.
Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:
Anglų kalba B2 lygis + valstybinis anglų kalbos egzaminas išlaikytas 75% ir daugiau.
Kastu anglų kalbos testas (jei turi gerą įvertinimą iš IELTS/TOEFL, tau nereikia laikyti Kastu anglų kalbos testo).

The recent advances in biology have led to a growing demand for graduates with expertise in cell culture and the techniques for gene manipulation. There are opportunities for molecular biologists in medicine, agriculture, food and drug industries. You can also go on to study at Master’s or PhD level with a good Honours degree.
