Politics and Criminology
The course is designed to bring together the linked disciplines of Criminology and Politics.Together we will explore the systematic study of crime, disorder and crime reduction in the context of political processes and institutions at national and international level. You will analyse popular conceptions of crime in the media, and focus on criminal action ranging from petty theft to state sponsored terrorism.You will develop an informed perspective on crime reduction, including the activities of the police, Crown Prosecution Service, courts, prisons and community safety or crime prevention.Your studies will be enhanced by analysis of the ideas and philosophies behind contemporary social and political debates.
The course includes the opportunity to undertake a professional work placement, which develops your employability skills and enhances your career prospects. By combining academic rigour with the development of vocational skills, you will enter the employment market with confidence.
Stojant į šį universitetą dėmesys yra kreipiamas į pažymius ir Brandos atestato vidurkį, kuris turi būti ne žemesnis kaip 8.

Brandos atestatas – jei jau esi baigęs mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka prie Kastu stojimo anketos prisegti savo Brandos atestatą.
Svarbu, jog anglų kalbos testo rezultatai universitetą pasiektų iki Liepos 31d.
Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:
Anglų kalba B2 lygis + valstybinis anglų kalbos egzaminas išlaikytas 75% ir daugiau.
Kastu anglų kalbos testas (jei turi gerą įvertinimą iš IELTS/TOEFL, tau nereikia laikyti Kastu anglų kalbos testo).

TOEFL – 80
Graduates have gone on to work in personnel, central and local government, the civil service, public service, the voluntary sector and the media. Others have opted for further training in (eg) the police, probation, community safety, and the prison service.
