History and Politics
This course offers you the opportunity to study, in equal proportions, the related disciplines of history and politics across an impressive geographical range, from Europe to Africa. We encourage you to develop a critical understanding of the political and historical factors that have shaped the modern world.
A key feature of the course is the compulsory six-week work placement in your second year which provides an opportunity to gain employment experience. We have a number of international exchange partnerships which enable you to complete part of your studies at foreign universities teaching in English.
You’ll study with approachable and supportive staff, all of whom have an excellent academic reputation. In 2008 Huddersfield was the most highly rated university History department in the National Student Satisfaction Survey, achieving 99% satisfaction, and has been in the top four in three out of the last four years.

Brandos atestatas – jei jau esi baigęs mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka prie Kastu stojimo anketos prisegti savo Brandos atestatą.
Svarbu, jog anglų kalbos testo rezultatai universitetą pasiektų iki Liepos 31d.
Anglų kalbos žinias gali patvirtinti vienu iš šių būdų:
Anglų kalba B2 lygis + valstybinis anglų kalbos egzaminas išlaikytas 75% ir daugiau.
Kastu anglų kalbos testas (jei turi gerą įvertinimą iš IELTS/TOEFL, tau nereikia laikyti Kastu anglų kalbos testo).

Our graduates find work in a wide range of professions. They work as teachers, librarians, archivists, journalists, in industry, commerce, the voluntary sector, PR, law and accountancy. Examples include graduates who are currently working as a BBC radio production assistant, a curator at Clifford’s Tower, York, and an archivist for Cumbria County Council.
