Our aim is to establish a design culture of critical debate. We expect students to examine how changes in society, social attitudes, technology, politics and legislation can affect their role as a designer. Students may have completed an undergraduate programme in graphic design, industrial design or packaging design.
The MA course in packaging design encourages degree students and practising designers to meet the challenge of exploring new directions and shaping the future of packaging design.
This course is built on internationally recognised research by members of the course team.

Funding
The Arts and Humanities Research Council (AHRC) awards bursaries to UK and EU students. These awards are based on merit so careful preparation of your application is essential. Applications for the bursary competition must be received at the AHRC in the spring of each year but this requires a prior offer of a place on the course. To give your sufficient time to make an appropriate application we strongly recommend applying for the course before the end of January. Students are also encouraged to seek financial support from industry and, where an individual has the opportunity to do this, we can provide support and guidance in negotiating support.
Į magistro studijų programas gali stoti visi, baigę universitetą arba besimokantys paskutiniame kurse. Studijos kurias baigei ar tebesimokai turi būti panašios krypties kaip ir tos, į kurias nori stoti, kadangi priėmimas yra paremtas ECTS kreditų suderinamumu.
ECTS kreditų išrašas - jei dar nesi baigęs aukštosios mokyklos, būtina prisegti ECTS kreditų išrašą, kuriame būtų matyti, kokius dalykus Tu mokeisi bei kokius pažymius ir kiek kreditų už juos gavai. Kai siunti anketą paskutiniame kurse, diplomą reikia prisegti vėliau, kai tik jį gausi.
Bakalauro diplomas – jei jau esi baigęs aukštąją mokyklą, išrašo nereikia, užtenka prie anketos prisegti savo Bakalauro diplomą.
Svarbu, jog anglų kalbos testo rezultatai universitetą pasiektų iki Liepos 31d.

For some students, undertaking further advanced study to doctorate level proves an attractive option at Sheffield Hallam. Working on a research degree within the university’s Art and Design Research Centre provides the opportunity to become one of a team dedicated to the advancement of creative practice within packaging design.
