The IT Network and Electronics Technology Higher Educational programme qualifies the candidate for a professional position as manager of or participant in projects related to product development, planning, and the operation of systems in the fields of computer technology and electronics in the private as well as the public sector.

The IT Network and Electronics Technology is a two-year full-time AP Degree programme qualifying for key functions within a number of trades and industries.

Job functions will typically be within the areas of innovation, planning, construction and operation of systems within communication technology and computer electronics. Many IT Network and Electronics Technologists also work with purchase, sales and service.

The IT Network and Electronics Technologist is qualified to work with modern technology both as a tool and as a product within the areas of:

• development and construction of electronics
• sale and technical support within IT and electronics
• planning and management within production techniques and tests
• purchasing of IT and electronics
• advisory and consulting services within the IT sector.

The Programme

The duration of the programme is four semeters. New classes start in September each year.

The programme has two specialised lines, i.e. computer technology and electronics line.
The programme consists of compulsory subjects and an individual part.

Compulsory subjects

The compulsory subjects fall within four main areas:

• General subjects (linguistic communication, technical documentation, technical mathematics, information technology, computer electronics)
• Business subjects (commercial purchase and sales, business economics, business organisation, project management, environment and safety, quality)
• Technology subjects of the computer technology line (transmission media,communications systems, network systems, network hardware, database systems and programming)
• Technological subjects of the electronics line (electronics, product maturing, test equipment, programme development, and networks).

The programme is completed with a project on a chosen issue. A written report is to be produced and assessed after an oral presentation.

The project is to substantiate that the student, on an analytical and methodical basis, can handle a complex issue of a concrete nature and of central relevance to the contents and aims of the programme.

The final project can be made in co-operation with a company.

The IT and Electronics Engineer fulfils the industry’s requirement for a Technician, who can work practically with a theoretical foundation. You will typically be able to gain employment as:

• an IT Planner
• a Network Manager
• an IT Consultant
• an Electronics Constructor
• a Production Technician.

Todėl Jūs turite brandos atestate esančias valandas paversti į tikras valandas (tam naudokitės Kastu pažymių išraše esančia formule valandoms perskaičiuoti) ir įsitikinti, jog turite pakankamai valandų.
