Textiles and Surface Design at Bucks is a multi award-winning course widely recognised in industry for producing innovative and highly skilled designers. The course reputation has evolved over 21 years and with over 1,000 textiles and surface design graduates we have established a comprehensive and diverse course alumni and industry network.
Our design studios and workshops are housed in the impressive Red Shed where you will gain an understanding of fibre, fabrics, colour, and materials knowledge and traditional and digital making. You will be expected to conduct personal research at international design shows and make use of our close proximity to London to see exhibitions and visit leading design stores.
The study and exploration of traditional and digital 2D and 3D textiles techniques using contemporary materials such as: woods, leather, glass, metals, plastics. Working in the Textiles, CAD, Photography, Printmaking, Metalwork and Jewellery, Glass, Ceramics, Furniture Workshops and Studios.

Stojant į šį universitetą dėmesys yra kreipiamas į pažymius ir Brandos atestato vidurkį, kuris turi būti ne žemesnis kaip 8.

You will build your design portfolio and make contacts in industry through live projects, competitions and work experience. Work experience, careers planning and employability are integrated within the second part of the year linking you with leading companies in industry and our graduate network. In your final year, you realise your personal design ambitions, research and write your own design brief and create a final design collection, enabling you to show your work.
Graduates have gone on to work with fashion/interior design companies such as Burberry, Missoni, Donna Karen, Abercrombie and Fitch, Mark Fast, Christopher Kane, Anthropologie, Zinc Studio London, Karen Nicol, Hallmark Cards, Cath Kidston, Heals, Marson Fabrics, Next, Marks and Spencer, Phase Eight and John Lewis. Graduates have also set up their own design businesses and have shown at a variety of events.
